History 101: American Disasters (NYU, Spring 2012)

History 101: American Disasters was a seminar component of NYU’s general history curriculum.  Taught in tandem with Prof. Thomas Bender’s general introduction to historical practice, this course introduced students to history as a discipline through the study of disasters – natural and otherwise – in America between the nineteenth century and the present.
